About Traitly

About the Founders

The human advantage you carry, and why it matters more than ever.

Traitly started with a very ordinary question, asked by someone who'd never really had to ask it before.

Elise, co-founder of Traitly, smiling and leaning on a railing in the sun
Elise, Barcelona

Twelve years into a career in e-commerce, working across retail, fashion and medical devices, Elise has built a career most people would call a success. And then, one ordinary week, the question showed up anyway: now what? Does this job still energise me? Is AI going to replace what I do? Should I pivot?

She realised she needed two things nobody had handed her: a real understanding of how her personality actually fit her work, and a clear-eyed look at how AI was going to specifically change it, not the generic panic headlines, but her domain, her role. So she called the person she'd been asking career questions since she was old enough to have opinions about them: her dad.

Peter, co-founder of Traitly and founder of PiCompany, working at his desk
Peter, at work

Peter (1955), trained as a linguist, founded PiCompany in 1994, one of the first companies to bring HR assessments onto the internet. The company was acquired by ABN AMRO Capital in 1998, which gave him the freedom to concentrate on what he actually wanted to do next: work at the intersection of behavioural science, technology, and design. Over the past decades, working with researchers at Delft, Cambridge, and Stanford, he has built a systematic inventory of validated findings in personality psychology and computational social science. In that same period, together with professor Jan Schoormans of TU Delft, he founded the Center for Applied Product Personality Research (CaPPr), which applies personality psychology research to real product, brand, and consumer questions.

Two very different starting points, one shared trait: both are, by nature, incurably curious about what's next. Elise has been quietly obsessed with what large language models mean for how careers work since long before it was a dinner-table topic. Peter's entire career has been a running experiment in combining behavioural science with whatever technology just became possible. Building Traitly together wasn't a stretch. It was, if anything, overdue.

People are more than a job title. In a world where AI is reshaping what work looks like, the smartest move isn't chasing every new tool, it's understanding who you actually are, so you can direct the change instead of being swept along by it. Once you know what energises you and what doesn't, it's easier to find direction in your career.

Mission

To give every professional an honest, personal, science-based understanding of their personality and turn that into clear, practical direction for thriving in a career being reshaped by AI.

Vision

A world where career direction starts with self-knowledge, not guesswork or algorithm-anxiety. Where AI frees people to lean further into what makes them distinctly human, instead of threatening to replace it.

Knowing yourself changes things, at any age, whether you're twenty-three picking a first direction or forty-four wondering if it's too late to change one.
